Finger Endoskeleton

Worked with a team on our senior design project to develop a better solution for joint replacement and crush injuries.

Our solution is a titanium skeleton that replaces the proximal phalanx while preserving and attaching to the organic ligaments.

The product was validated in a cadaver lab, where it was successfully implanted and actuated using a cadaveric tendon.

The design received the Vanderbilt Senior Design Team Award for creativity and originality, and a patent is pending for eventual commercialization.
